Research Areas
The Espinosa group investigates several exciting areas in the Nanotechnology field. Currently they are studying the mechanics of nano-structured and nanocrystalline materials through in-situ AFM/SEM/HRTEM testing with MEMS actuators. They are also designing an array of tips with microfluidic capabilities for nano-manipulation of chemicals and molecules.
